Ashley Smith joined TEL in 2024 with over 15 years’ experience as a finance and accounting leader with a passion for driving business value through a continuous improvement mindset and people leadership. She is focused on building relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the finance and accounting function is serving the business every step of the way.
A personal goal is to provide world class accounting and finance services to support the business mission and goals.
Ashley’s background in financial reporting, process optimization, internal controls, and building out accounting operations functions enables her to take a holistic end-to-end view of business transactions. Ashley is passionate about helping the business solve its greatest challenges and drive growth through cross-functional collaboration, leveraging technology, and driving strategic vision across the teams.

Ashley earned a Master of Accountancy degree from Georgia Southern University then earned her CPA while working in public accounting. Then, after living in Denver for 10 years, she and her family relocated to Chattanooga to enjoy the “scenic city” lifestyle. Her two very active daughters keep Ashley and her husband on-the-go and they are loving this busy and fun season of life.
