Victor Duggard joined TEL in 2017 with experience in the transportation industry dating back to when he was 19 years old, loading and unloading trucks. Victor oversees TEL’s treasury, banking relationships, agreements, negotiations, accounting functions, budgeting, auditing, HR, and collections.
A personal goal to solve customers’ biggest challenges
Victor’s experience in transportation and background in finance have given him deep visibility into the economics of a transportation business. Transportation companies deal with tight margins and constant fluctuations in volume and demand. The dynamic nature of the industry makes it hard to plan ahead and build the resources needed to make it all work (consistently).
In Victor’s mind, the challenges transportation companies face create the opportunities for TEL to help and serve. He sees the opportunity for TEL to give customers a one-stop shop for equipment, service, maintenance, and business support. By taking financial pressures and time demands off customers’ businesses, those companies can stay focused on business operations and making money. TEL is laser-focused on developing programs that give customers the greatest opportunity to succeed long term.
Victor Duggard background and personal notes:
Victor graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in accounting and went on to earn an MBA and CPA. He is married with two kids, serves on the greeting team at Silverdale Baptist in Ooltewah, and is a sports fan and golfer.
